We didn't start as a diaper brand. We started inside the factories that make them.
Six Years at the Source
For six years, our team supplied the elastic components — ear bands, side bands, and front tabs — that hold a baby diaper together. Not to one factory, but to the manufacturers who define the category. That position gave us something rare: an unobstructed view into the engineering of every major diaper construction on the market.
We saw which materials performed under real conditions and which ones degraded. We saw the difference between a leg cuff engineered to prevent leaks and one cut to save a fraction of a cent per unit. We watched brands make choices that parents never got to see — because once the packaging is sealed, the only thing left is trust.
We decided to build something we could stand behind completely.
Built From the Inside Out
Cocoon begins with material selection — not marketing claims. Every layer is sourced with a single criterion: is this the safest, best-performing option available for skin that spends 20 hours a day in contact with a diaper?
The top sheet is soft, breathable, and free from fragrances, lotions, and chlorine processing. The absorbent core is designed to lock moisture away from the skin quickly and reliably. The elastic components — our home territory — are calibrated for both containment and comfort: firm enough to seal against leaks, gentle enough to leave no marks.
Then comes the geometry.
A diaper's fit is not just a matter of size — it's a function of how elastic bands are cut, angled, and tensioned relative to the body's movement. We engineered the leg cuffs and waist band of Cocoon with contour geometry that adapts to a baby's motion: sitting, crawling, sleeping, being carried. The result is a diaper that stays in position without pressing, and contains without constricting.

Cocoon is manufactured in Europe under some of the world's most stringent production standards. Every diaper carries OEKO-TEX certification — an independent verification that our materials have been tested and found free from harmful substances at every stage of production.
This isn't a feature we added. It's the baseline we built from.
What We're Building
Cocoon is a new kind of baby diaper company — one that started with engineering knowledge instead of a marketing brief. We believe that when you understand every component of a product from the inside, you make better decisions about every single one of them.
